FAQs
General
1. What’s the difference between an electric wagon and a manual wagon?
A manual wagon relies on your own strength to move the load, while an e-Wagon uses motor assistance to make hauling easier. It can help reduce the effort required when carrying heavier loads, going uphill, or navigating uneven ground.
2. Why choose Outisan?
At Outisan, we’re committed to making e-Wagons better with every iteration. We listen to our users, learn from their real-world experiences, and continually refine our designs based on what matters most to them. The result is e-Wagons thoughtfully designed around real needs, with practical improvements that make hauling easier and every outing more enjoyable.
3. What makes Outisan e-Wagon a "smart" electric wagon?
The Outisan e-Wagons feature FlowStride™, a smart control system that acts as the wagon’s brain. Whether you’re moving forward or backward, uphill or downhill, FlowStride™ senses your movements and works with the motors to deliver the right level of assistance, so you can focus on where you’re going instead of adjusting power manually. From version 1.0 to 3.0, FlowStride™ has evolved to deliver smoother, more responsive assistance that feels more natural with every move.
4. What makes Outisan e-Wagon different from other electric wagons?
The Outisan e-Wagon is designed as an integrated system rather than a traditional wagon simply assembled with a motor. FlowStride™ coordinates the sensors and motors to respond to how you move, while the overall design is built around a more intuitive hauling experience.
Power & Safety Features
5. How does FlowStride™ Smart Control Algorithm make the e-Wagon easier to control?
Inspired by how robots sense, decide, and act, the FlowStride™ Smart Control Algorithm applies these principles to the e-Wagon. It senses your input and processes real-time data to adjust motor power accordingly. It helps the e-Wagon respond smoothly and precisely to changes in your pace and direction, making it easier to control.
6. How does the e-Wagon provide power assistance across different terrain?
The e-Wagon combines dual high-torque hub motors with specially designed high-traction tires to handle a variety of terrain. The motors deliver strong torque for uphill climbs and heavy loads, while the tires provide reliable traction to maintain grip.
7. What safety features does the Outisan e-Wagon offer?
FlowStride™ includes safety features for greater peace of mind. Downhill Speed Control helps maintain a manageable speed on descents, giving you better control on slopes. Instant Auto Brake automatically stops the e-Wagon when you release the handle, helping prevent unintended movement. On the e-Wagon Lite, the wagon also slows down and stops when the handle is in the upright position, adding an extra layer of safety.
Battery
8. How is the e-Wagon battery designed for safety?
The battery uses high-quality 18650 cells and a smart Battery Management System (BMS) with 10+ protections. The BMS monitors battery conditions in real time and manages charging and discharging to help prevent issues such as overcharging, over-discharging, overheating, and overcurrent. This helps keep the battery operating safely and reliably over time.
9. How long does it take to fully charge the battery?
The e-Wagon Air takes about 3 hours to fully charge, while the e-Wagon Lite takes about 3.5 hours. Both support PD fast charging when used with the included charger and cable.
10. Why is the battery removable?
The removable design makes charging more convenient. You can take the battery inside to charge while leaving the e-Wagon in the garage, or carry a spare battery for longer trips. The battery also doubles as a power bank for charging small devices when needed.
Maintenance and Care
11. How should I store the battery when it’s not in use?
Store the battery in a dry place at a moderate temperature, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat or cold. If the battery has been stored below 32°F, allow it to warm to above 50°F before use. If you won’t use the e-Wagon for more than 30 days, remove the battery and store it separately at 40%–80% charge. Recharge it every 3 months to help maintain its performance and lifespan.
12. How do I clean the fabric wagon body?
The fabric wagon body is machine washable and can be dried at a medium to low temperature. The base panel is not machine washable and should be cleaned with water and mild detergent, then air dried naturally. Additional fabric wagon body colors are available for purchase by contacting support@outisan.com.
13. Is the e-Wagon water-resistant?
e-Wagon Air: It can be rinsed with a hose at low water pressure, including the main body and electrical components. Avoid spraying the motor bearings directly. For dirt or mud around the motor bearings, use a soft brush and water. Do not use a high-pressure water gun.
e-Wagon Lite: It is splash-proof, not fully waterproof. The motor can be quickly rinsed with low-pressure water for easy cleaning. Wipe the battery and handle system with a towel instead of rinsing them. It can handle light rain in unexpected situations, but should not be left out in the rain.
