Powering Your Adventures: The e-Wagon Air’s Battery Pack
When it comes to electric wagon, range is highly important. Without sufficient battery power, even the best-designed e-Wagon becomes little more than a conventional wagon. That’s why, from the very beginning, range was one of the top priorities in the design of the e-Wagon Air.

There are two primary ways to increase the range of an electric wagon: by increasing the battery’s capacity or by making the battery easily removable and swappable. We’ve struck a clever balance between these two approaches and its weight and cost.
Let’s dive into how we approached range. Given that users will be loading the wagon with various weights and traversing a variety of terrains – from flat roads to steep hills, grass to sand – we conducted extensive testing to simulate real-world usage. Unlike some brands who measure their range on flat surfaces with limited payload, we didn’t want to overpromise, so we focused on providing accurate information about the e-Wagon’s capabilities.
The e-Wagon Air’s battery features a square design for optimal space utilization, resulting in a capacity of 135Wh in only 2.3-pound of weight, enabling a comprehensive driving range of 5 miles (8 km). To further maximize range, we’ve incorporated an energy recovery system. When going downhill, this system converts kinetic energy back into electrical energy, charging the battery. At Outisan, every innovation is designed to meet our users’ needs, both expected and unexpected.

Beyond capacity, another critical metric for battery cells is discharge rate. All of Outisan’s battery cells boast an impressive 8C discharge rate, meaning they can deliver eight times their rated capacity in a short period, allowing the e-Wagon Air’s motor to generate maximum power. This is especially beneficial for uphill climbs, obstacles crossing, and uneven terrain, significantly reducing the physical effort required. It’s important to note that energy storage cells and power cells are fundamentally different, which is why we strongly advise against purchasing electric wagons powered by small power banks. These cells are prone to damage, and a breakdown halfway through a trip can ruin your whole plan.
The battery management system (BMS) is another crucial component inside the battery pack. Our BMS controls and protects the battery pack, offering features like a Type-C and USB-A port for charging other devices (enough to charge an iPhone eight times!). It also continuously monitors the cells, ensuring even charging and discharging to extend their lifespan. With 10 protective features, our BMS provides unparalleled safety and reliability.

This is just a brief overview of our battery technology. If you have any further questions about the e-Wagon Air, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment and ask. As the electric wagon industry is still in its infancy, we’ve had to develop the core components in-house, including the motor, battery, drive and control system. We’ll be publishing blogs to delve deeper into each of these components. If you want to explore more details, feel free to join our Facebook Group!
